The short version
- We only collect what you type into a form, plus anonymous page statistics if you say yes to analytics.
- We use it to reply to you and send what you asked for. We don’t sell it, rent it, or use it for advertising.
- Form submissions are stored in Canada and deleted automatically after 24 months.
- You can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted: email hello@appliedainorth.com.
Who is responsible
This website is run by Applied AI North Inc., Toronto, Ontario. The person in charge of protecting personal information is our Privacy Officer, reachable at hello@appliedainorth.com (subject line “Privacy Officer”). We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for visitors in Quebec, Quebec’s private-sector privacy law as amended by Law 25.
What we collect
When you fill in a form. Only the fields you complete:
- Contact form: your name, email, and optionally your company, phone number, company size, the service you’re interested in, times that suit you, and your message.
- Free resource (the AI impact screening): your name, work email, and optionally your job title, industry and main concern.
- Newsletter: your email address.
With each submission we also record the page it was sent from and the time.
Analytics, only if you accept. If you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 records which pages you visit, how you got here, your device and browser type, your approximate location, and actions like opening a form. It sets analytics cookies to do this. If you choose “Decline”, or don’t choose, it never loads. There are no advertising cookies on this site.
Settings saved in your browser. Your light or dark theme choice and your cookie choice are saved in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers them. They’re never sent to us.
Server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to book a call.
- To send what you asked for: a screening booking or the newsletter.
- With your consent, to understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We don’t use your information for anything else without asking you first.
Where it’s kept and who handles it
We use a small number of service providers, each only for the job described:
- Supabase stores form submissions in a database hosted in Canada (AWS Canada Central region, Montreal).
- Vercel hosts the website and runs the code that receives form submissions. Its servers may be outside Canada, including in the United States.
- Google provides Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics. Google may process this data outside Canada, including in the United States.
- Our business email provider carries any email we exchange with you.
When information is processed outside Canada, it’s subject to the laws of that country, and authorities there may be able to access it. We choose providers that protect information to a standard comparable to ours.
How long we keep it
- Form submissions: deleted automatically 24 months after they’re received. If you become a client, what we need for the engagement is kept under our agreement with you.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
- Analytics: for the retention period set in Google Analytics, a maximum of 14 months.
Your choices and rights
- Analytics: change your answer any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
- Access, correction and deletion: email hello@appliedainorth.com and tell us what you’d like. We’ll respond within 30 days.
- Withdrawing consent: you can withdraw consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing or asking us to delete your enquiry.
How we protect it
The website can only add new form submissions to our database; it can’t read them back. Access to submissions is limited to the people who need them to reply to you. All traffic to this site is encrypted (HTTPS).

Please contact our Privacy Officer first at hello@appliedainorth.com, and we’ll try to put it right. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (1-800-282-1376) or, in Quebec, to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
